Abstract

This talk will describe the distributed visualization framework called Spiegel. Spiegel is a visualization framework, which allows to visualize large scale systems, like the simulation runs of stellar systems, and small scale systems like the structure of a protein. Spiegel allows to explore a simulation of merging galaxies by moving through time and space in a 3-dimensional environment and the behavior of a protein structure under increasing temperature. Spiegel can be easily extended to meet specialized visualization needs because of its pipeline architecture. This talk will describe the architecture of Spiegel, the graphical programming environment and the use of Spiegel.
