IDC Lab Robots

2 Pioneer P3-DX robots (Lewis and Clark) with forward-facing sonar. We have two ThinkPad laptops that can sit on top of and control these robots.
4 iRobot Create robots. One (pictured on our home page) has a netbook attached, while the others (such as seen here) are currently augmented with Gumstix computers. Both solutions provide untethered operation and an onboard Linux-based development environment (with WiFi connection).
In our robot programming course, we currently use the Player/Stage libraries to control both of these systems. Information on using Player/Stage locally is located here. For our corobotics project we are developing our own software based on ROS (Robot Operating System).
