Processor Speed - 20032

The speed of a Sun processor may be determined using the following command

/usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -v
Here is the information for the machines you will be using for this course:

parasite and paradise (4 node SMP)

System Configuration: Sun Microsystems sun4u Sun Enterprise 450 (4 X UltraSPARC-II 248MHz)
System clock frequency: 83 MHz
Memory size: 2048 Megabytes
Interconnect: There is a 400Mb interconnect between them, but it may not necessarily be used under the current setup.

holly and hilly (4 node SMP)

System Configuration: Sun Microsystems sun4u Sun Enterprise 420R (4 X UltraSPARC-II 450MHz)
System clock frequency: 113 MHz
Memory size: 4096 Megabytes

queeg (4 node SMP)

System Configuration: Sun Microsystems sun4u Sun Fire 880 (4 X x4 750Mz UltraSparc)
System clock frequency: 150 MHz
Memory size: 8192 Megabytes

paranoia (32 node cluster with nodes thug01 - thug32)

System Configuration: Sun Microsystems Sun Ultra 5/10 UPA/PCI (UltraSPARC-IIi 440MHz)
System clock frequency: 110 MHz
(paranoia is an Sun Ultra 30 UPA/PCI (UltraSPARC II 296)
System clock frequency: 99 MHz)
Memory size: 256 Megabytes Interconnect: 100Mb connection
