From Bathurst, we proceeded to the lovely upscale community at Port Alfred. The sand dunes were huge, the lovely beach uncrowded. And it is just 45 minutes from our front door.
That's the Indian Ocean! So far, I've only stuck my hand in.
There were several surfers in the water. Here's a young one heading out on the left and on the right, you can see there are waves!
We had planned to stop at the Thomas Baines Nature Reserve, very near town, on our way back but were really too late to start that today. Incidentally, the Yacht Club is on the reservoir in that reserve.
