Try not to miss classes. Be active!

This course is not an easy one, it will require different types of activities: theoretical research and practical experiments, studying books and documents and working with real (well, more or less) computer systems and tools. To be successful in this course students should be prepared to work hard, both in class and out of class, independently and in small groups.

In general, students should have some familiarity with the concepts of data networking, specifically with the principles of the ISO/OSI 7-layered reference model as well as TCP/IP, Ethernet and operating systems such as Windows NT/2000/XP and Unix.

In class in addition to traditional lectures I am planning discussions in small and big groups and debating some topics.

I will be happy to see you at my office 70-3521 to discuss your concerns and to try to answer your questions , my office hours are MW 12-2 pm.
