Digital Docent

Digital Docent

In this work, we describe the use of a Digital Docent:
a  3D avatar, presented using virtual and augmented reality, as a means for providing interactive storytelling experiences at
the Genesee Country Village & Museum, one of the nation's largest living history museums.
To allow flexibility depending on the user’s location and access to technology, the app is designed to provide a common experience supporting a variety of different delivery modalities including AR devices, mobile AR, and VR on the Web.
