Project Proposals
This is intended
to serve as a template for creating a project
proposal for Computer Graphics II. If working on a team project, only
one proposal is needed for the entire team. The project proposal should
include the following:
- Title
- Student name or list of team members names; Identify the team
leader.
- Class name and number(Computer Graphics II; 571 or 769)
- Project Web Site
- Summary of the project, including the 3D scene that to be
constructed, the aspect of the rendering pipeline that will be
emphasized and the means by which you plan on doing so.
- Project Objectives
- System and Software - Identify the computer hardware and software
that
you are planning to use to implement this project.
- A breakdown of project components, eg.,
- GUI - with as many details as possible
- Ray Tracer - with as many details as possible
- Project Responsibilities, i.e., a detailed list of tasks and who
will do them (if a group project).
- Project Timeline, i.e., a list of milestones and when you expect
to achieve them.
- Final Presentation - A indication of how you plan to demonstrate
or present the project during the last weeks of the course
Mid-Quarter Updates
This is intended
to serve as a template for creating the midterm project update for
Computer Graphics II. If working on a team project, only one update is
required for the team. The update should include the following:
- Title
- Student name or
list of team members names; Identify the team leader.
- Class name and
number(Computer Graphics II; 571 or 769)
- Project Web Page
- From the
project proposal
- Project Objectives
- Project Responsibilities, i.e., a detailed list of tasks and
who will do them (if a group project).
- Project Timeline, i.e., a list of milestones and when you
expect to achieve them.
- What has been
done so far
- An assessment of
your (team's) progress
- A revised
timeline, if needed.
