xc is a declarative language, based on a set of concepts to enable the programmer to describe an X application in all its complex functionality -- processing the command line, layout of the application, event handling. A compiler for xc produces C language output for the declared callback functions. The developer needs only implement the body of the callback functions. xc applications and the used widgets are described by the same language.
