How to solve: $|\sqrt{x-1}-2| + |\sqrt{x-1}-3|=1$.

I would like to know how to solve an absolute value equation when there is a square root sign inside.

Is the $x-1$ in the square root or is it just the $x$? Why are $2$ and $3$ in parentheses?2012-06-04
