    Question is vague? A $c$-level set of a function $f:\mathbb{R}^n \to \mathbb{R}$ is the set $\{ p \in \mathbb{R}^n : f(p) = c \}.$ Example: In 3D, the surface of the unit sphere is the $1$-level set of the function $f : \mathbb{R}^3 \to \mathbb{R},$ defined as $f : (x,y,z) \mapsto x^2 + y^2 + z^2.$2012-04-09
