Is there a general solution to:

$A x''+ B x' + C \mathop{\rm sgn}(x')+ D x=0$ where $\mathop{\rm sgn}(x')$ is the sign of $x'$

    I'm not an expert, but the signum of the derivative makes this a non linear differential equation and those are often hard to solve analytically (unless you can specify additional conditions or constraints that simplify things).2011-05-20
