If a piece of computer equipment will fail once a year and be unavailable for 1.5 hours, how do I calculate the probability of the failure occurring each hour of every day

Could you tell us the source of your question? Homework? Work assignment? Idle curiosity? As stated, there seems to be a lot of ambiguity as to what is meant.2011-12-21

How many hours are in a year? Do you count all of them, or only "working" hours of some kind?2011-12-21

Silly remark, but since it will only fail once a year, it is *certain* that it won't fail each hour of every day.2011-12-21
