Evaluating $\\int P(\\sin x, \\cos x) \\text{d}x$
I'm given, $\int \sin^2(x) \,dx$
I'm struggling finding the appropriate value for u to integrate using u-substitution.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

$\sin^2 x = \frac{1 - \cos(2x)}{2}$. Now you can integrate it.
I'd try thinking about your trig identities and whether you know anything that would make $sin^2(x)$ simpler before jumping to u-sub.
