Here's how to set up a CS printer on a Windows machine:<br>

Before you begin, make sure you have<br>
a) a network connection on a CS subnet (IP address should be 129.21.36/37.*)<br>
b) a samba account<br>

First, open Start->Run and type \\mordor.cs.rit.edu then press Enter<br>
---if a window does not appear, check your network connection, then see me<br>
<br>
Double-click on the Printer you wish to install<br>
<br>
Click "Yes" to install the printer, and "Ok" to install the driver<br>
<br>
Click "Have Disk"<br>
<br>
Browse to My Network Places(or Network Neighborhood)->Entire Network->Microsoft Windows Network->Cslab->Mordor(Samba 2.2.8a)->Public->Drivers->Printers<br>

Select the printer you wish to install<br>
<br>
Select the OS you are using<br>
<br>
Select the ps (PostScript) folder<br>
<br>
Highlight the *.inf file, then click "Open"<br>
<br>
Click OK until the drivers are installed and a new window titled with the name of the printer appears<br>
NOTE: You will get a notice in the title bar of "Access denied, unable to connect". Ignore it-it is related to how we've set up the printers, and isn't true.<br>
