Biography
My name is Sammy Lin, I was raised in Brooklyn NY, came to Rochester when I was 18 to attend Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). I graduated from RIT in May 2005 with a bachelors of science in computer science. I am currently pursuing my masters of science in computer security and information assurance. My birthday is June 18, 1982. I have one older sister, named Lilly, and she teaches in New Paltz NY. I currently work as a software engineer at IBM. I am not a traditional engineer though, I'm more of a consultant. I currently live in Northern Virginia and work in Maryland.

Hobbies and Interests
On the sports side -
In the summer I play handball and basketball. In the winter, I hit up the mountains and snowboard whenever I get the chance. My new obsession is softball, which is only played in the Spring/Summer
On the geek side -
I enjoy programming in any language, except Lisp. I'm currently testing out Objective-C and Cocoa for the OS X platform.
My operating system of choice is now Gentoo (2005.0) and Windows 2K. I had Red Hat 7.3 (Valhala) for a bit, but somehow, I messed it up, trying to install new graphics drivers and new games. I didnt want to sort out that mess I made, so I decided to go with Shrike. Windows 2K is good for a M$ OS, doesnt give me problems. I mainly use Windows for web design, and gaming. I was able to get a Sun Ultra 60 from eBay at a really good price. Currently it is my local webserver and development box, it runs Gentoo.
