Office hours
I will be in my office during the hours posted on the course website. I will be happy to arrange another time to meet, if my regular hours won't work with your schedule. Just give me a call, or send an email.

Class Attendance
Class attendance is mandatory and I will make a record of your attendance.

Quizzes and Exams
Exams and quizzes (if they are a required component of the course) may be on any class day of the week, and will be announced in class at least one week before the exam or quiz. Make-ups for quizzes or exams are not allowed. No dropped quizzes or exams. The final exam will be announced as soon as it is posted, and will be given during final exam week.

Homework
If homework is assigned and required to be handed in, it will be due on the given due date before class begins. If homework is accepted late (for some of my classes, homework is not accepted late) then homework is considered late as soon as class begins. Late homework will be penalized by deducting 10% of the maximum possible grade. Every day after the due date, a late assignment will be penalized by deducting another 10% of the maximum possible grade. If you must miss class make sure you get your homework to me in advance via email, by giving it to a friend who will be in class, by dropping it in the mailbox outside of my office, or by some other means. Make sure you do this before class begins on the day in which it is due. Every homework counts toward your grade, no drops.

Projects
If a project is assigned, it will be due on the date given on the project write-up, by 11:59:00pm. For example, if the due date is Sunday, the project will be due on Sunday by 11:59:00pm. One second later, at 11:59:01pm, electronic submissions will be turned off and you will be unable to submit the project to the regular dropbox. If you want to submit your project after the cutoff, then you may submit it to the late dropbox for the project, and 10% of the maximum grade (10 points out of 100 possible) will be deducted from your grade. Another 10% for each day late after that will also be deducted, if it applies. Also, you will get no credit for a project that does not compile on the CS machines, even if it compiles and runs perfectly on your machine.

Academic Honesty
I take a very severe view of academic dishonesty, and I will handle any such incident according to the Department of Computer Science Policy on Academic Dishonesty.
