Homework

NOTE there are no formal homeworks assigned in this class. Some sample questions may be provided in class, with answers made available at a later date.

Experiments/Projects

• All grading of your experiments and projects will be done with rasm/rlink/rsim. You must make sure the code you submit works in this environment.
• The only pseudo-instructions that you can use for the experiments are:
  • li
  • la
  • move
  • mul
  • div
  • rem
  • not
  You will lose points if you use any of the other pseudo-instructions.

  Here is a link for more information about the MIPS pseudo-instructions with regard to this class.

• Here is a Makefile that you can edit up and use to compile/link your programs with rasm/rlink. Make sure to read the comment at the beginning of the file.
• If you'd like to try working with a graphical simulator you can try SPIM. you can find some information on using it at: SPIM Debugging page
