This was a long day. The forecast was for a chance of showers in the evening and on Friday, so we wanted to get the roof on before the rain began.

Connie and Margaret are bolting on one of the rafters.

Matt is working on the roof decking.

Here Margaret and Ray nail down roof decking. As you make
progress here, the opening gets smaller and smaller and you have to move
to the roof to finish the job. Connie and Howard are filling cracks in
the logs.

The shingling only occupied a few people, so Connie and
Margaret decided to do some maintenance on a bridge nearby. They replaced
some rotted planks with scraps from our roof decking.

It was about 8 pm when we got enough shingles on the roof
to guard against the rain that was predicted. This was a long day
and the dinner of hot dogs roasted over the campfire tasted GREAT!
