I am an associate professor in the Department of of Computer Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). In the CS Master's program, I am a member of the Distributed Systems Cluster. I am also involved in the Ph.D. in the Computing and Information Sciences program in the college. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Purdue University. My research interests lie in the areas of computer networks, cloud computing, wireless mobile networks, and distributed systems. I am a member of ACM, ACM SIGCOMM, and IEEE.

Research

  1. Cloud and mobile: MOCHA project.
  2. P2P overlay networks: Topology-aware overlay multicast, overlay multicast characterization, cooperative overlay internetworking, and more efficient structured p2p overlays.
  3. Old projects: Network congestion control, software watermarking, network security and mobile robots for networking education.
  4. NSF-REU program: High performance file systems and data visualization.
