Office Hours (subject to change): Monday 4 - 6, Wednesday 4 - 5, Thursday 5 - 6 , and by appointment.
You are always welcome at my office hours. If you are not able to make my office hours, contact me and we will make arrangements to meet.
The following is my office hour rule: If there are 3 or more people waiting to see me, then the student in my office is limited to 15 minutes of help. After 15 minutes, the person in my office will be required to go to the end of the line and wait for another turn.
I am happy to answer questions regarding projects in person, via email or via the phone up until noon on the Friday prior to the project deadline. After noon (12:00 PM) on the Friday prior to the project deadline, I will not answer project questions. In other words, do not wait until Friday to begin your project.
Explicitly, I will stop answering questions at noon on Friday April 5th and again on April 12th for the first project. During the second project, I will stop answering questions at noon on Friday May 3rd and May 10th.
We are going to try something new this quarter. Each of you will help me grade your project. In the week following the final project deadline, each of you will have a 20 minute meeting with me. During the meeting, we will review your project, the try tests that you passed or failed, your code style, and your coding standard adherence. At the end of the meeting, your project will be assigned a grade.
You will be permitted to choose a meeting time. I will post the available meeting times a week prior to the project due date. You will be responsible for signing up for a time to meet with me. If you do not sign up for a meeting time in the week following the project deadline, then your project grade will be reduced by a letter grade (10 points) and I will grade your project myself.
