The final is comprehensive, with some emphasis on new stuff.
Topics
The book: Chapter 1, 2.0-2.9, 3.0-3.8, 3.11 (except 3.11.3), Chapter 4,
Chapter 5, Chapter 6, 7.1, pp 218-220, 8.4, Chapter 9 (except 9.2), and 19.2.
You may skip the proofs that we didn't do in class.
The notes: All notes from weeks 1-9.
Heys's tutorial on linear and differential cryptanalysis.
Homeworks 1-7.
Everything we did in class weeks 1-9.

The final will be closed book and notes,
but you may bring one sheet of letter-sized paper with your own
hand-written notes. You may write on both sides. You may also bring your midterm help-sheet.

The final can not be made up except for real emergencies in which case
proper documentation (like a doctor's note) will
be required. If at all possible, you should contact me prior to the midterm.
Oversleeping, cars that don't start etc. do not constitute a valid excuse.

Calculators,
PDAs, cell phones, etc. are not allowed.

Like the midterm,
the final will consist of a number of questions of equal weight.
The lowest question score will be dropped.
