roffToWeb has been used for a varity of projects. It has been used to create lecture notes for several courses. For example,
Title URL # Pages ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Operating Systems http://www.cs.oswego.edu/~bischof/97_443/ 104 Foundations of CS http://www.cs.oswego.edu/~bischof/98_221/ 120 Computer Networks http://www.cs.oswego.edu/~bischof/98_445/ 113
The author has also used this system to create articles and slides for talks, that were then made available on the web. See http://www.cs.rit.edu/~hpb/Toc/articles.html and http://www.cs.rit.edu/~hpb/Toc/talks.html, respectively.
HTML versions of several manuals have been converted as well, with connections between manuals pages provided by hypertext links. Over 15000 web pages have been created in this way.
It should be noted that a few programs, in addition to roffToWeb, had to be written to convert all of these manual pages into HTML. The most complicated part was finding out when a interpage reference could be actually converted to an hypertext link.
