Postscript Set Up
If you are using Netscape 3,
here is how to set things up so that you can view a PostScript document:
- Select the Options Menu.
- In the Options Menu, select General Preferences.
- Select the Helpers Page.
- Select the entry (description) application/postscript in the
Mime Configuration Files table.
- Edit (Edit button) this entry so that the handle-by
field contains:
Adjust the
magstep parameter to suit your display, if too
big try -1, if too small try 1.
- If an entry for application/postscript does not exist, you can
create one (New button). Include (at least) the suffices
ps
and eps.
- Make the change permanent by pressing the OK buttons in the edit
and helpers windows.
If you are using Netscape 4,
here is how to set things up so that you can view a PostScript document:
- Select the Edit Menu.
- In the Edit Menu, select Preferences.
- In the Preferences popup window, under the category Navigator, select the subcategory
Applications.
- Select the entry (description) Postscript Document in the
Applications table.
- Edit (Edit button) this entry so that the handled-by
field contains:
Adjust the
magstep parameter to suit your display, if too
big try -1, if too small try 1.
- If an entry for Postscript Document does not exist, you can
create one (New button).
- Make the change permanent by pressing the OK buttons in all the popup
windows.
