Text Book

Computer Networking: A Top-Down Approach Featuring the Internet (3rd edition), by Kurose and Ross.

We will follow the book fairly closely, although some advanced details are left to course 2.

Unless I noticeably modify the book authors' notes, I will not pass out copies of the slides. It's the same material that's in the book.

Math calculations are part of this course: arithmetic, algebra, probability. (Perhaps even a bit of calculus?)
