Program Overview
The Department of Computer Science offers programs leading to a
bachelor or
masters of science degree in computer science. At the undergraduate level, the program is offered to high school and two-year college graduates. In addition, both computer science programs are offered to part-time students in an evening format.
The
bachelors program, which is fully accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET,
http://www.abet.org, attracts students who are interested in both the mathematical theory and technical applications of computer science. The
undergraduate program, is designed for students who are mathematically adept and wish to become computing professional.
The
masters program is designed for students who have an undergraduate major or minor in computer science. As well as for those who have a strong background in a field in which computers are applied such as engineering, science or business.
The department also offers an accelerated dual degree
(BS/MS) option for exceptional undergraduate computer science students which allows them to earn both a bachelor and masters of science degree with one additional year of study.
