Biography
Dr. Roger S. Gaborski received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Maryland. He is a Professor in the Computer Science Department,
a research faculty member in the Ph.D. program and an extended faculty member
in the Center for Imaging Science. He is also the Director of the Laboratory
for Computational Studies.
Dr. Gaborski.s main research interests are algorithms that model our cognitive
abilities. Current projects focus on video scene understanding, face
recognition and modeling the computational ability of the brain.s cortex using
evolved recurrent neural networks. His teaching interests include courses in
computer vision and biologically inspired intelligent systems.
