Biography
Edith Hemaspaandra is Professor in the department of computer science
at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She received her PhD in computer
science from the University of Amsterdam. Her research interests
include computational social choice, computational complexity,
and complexity of logics. She is the PI on an NSF grant on
computational social choice, she is the recipient of a 2007
Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from the Humboldt Foundation,
and she is the recipient of a 2005-2006 Eisenhart Award for Excellence in
Teaching.
